Andrew is an accomplished, experienced, and dedicated podiatrist with specialist registration as a Podiatric Surgeon. His primary area of expertise is reconstructive forefoot surgery, including bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, and ingrowing toenails. As a specialist podiatrist, he provides consultation and advice on complex foot and ankle problems.

About Andrew

Andrew’s career, which commenced in 1981 at Flinders Medical Centre, is a testament to his extensive experience. He began his journey in diabetic and high-risk foot clinics, after which he gained a fellowship at the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons and an endorsement for scheduled medicines in 1995. His professional journey has seen him work at various private hospitals and hold a public hospital position as a visiting Podiatric Surgeon at the Repatriation General Hospital from 2002 – 2010. He has operating privileges at Calvary Central Districts Private Hospital, Glenelg Day Surgery, Adelaide Ambulatory Day Surgery, and Darwin Private Hospital.

Andrew was awarded a Fellowship from the Australian Sports Medicine Federation for services to sports medicine and, in 2016, a Fellowship in the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine at the prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow).

Apart from private practice Andrew lectures at the University of South Australia and in Japan to Athletic Trainers. He has worked overseas voluntarily since 1996 and has helped develop a program for the early intervention and treatment of clubfoot in Vietnam.

Andrew’s commitment to the advancement of podiatry and podiatric surgery is unwavering. He has served on the council of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons as well; his other professional activities have included serving as the State President and National President of the Australian Podiatry Council, chairing the Podiatrist’s Registration Board of South Australia, Trustee of the Australian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, chairing the Australian Podiatry Education and Research Foundation, and serving on numerous other professional committees and boards.

Andrew makes time for interests outside of work, such as sailing at the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia, snow skiing, traveling, and collecting contemporary art.
